Celtic Connections 2027 at a glance
A full concert hall, a small acoustic show, a session that carries on after the encore. Celtic Connections gives you plenty of ways to spend a winter evening in Glasgow.
The festival’s 34th edition runs from Thursday 14 to Sunday 31 January 2027. Scottish and Irish traditional music is its starting point, with folk, roots, jazz, orchestral, electronic, Americana and indie all part of the programme.
Start with the shows you want to see, then build your stay around them. A base on Bath Street puts Glasgow’s city centre on your doorstep.

Find your corner of Glasgow
City centre & Merchant City
Glasgow Royal Concert Hall sits at the top of Buchanan Street. The Pavilion Theatre is on Renfield Street, while City Halls and the Old Fruitmarket sit together on Candleriggs. These are useful landmarks when choosing somewhere to eat before a show.
West End & Finnieston
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Òran Mór and SWG3 each offer a different setting. Choose your transport for the specific venue: the Subway can suit parts of the West End, but walking distances vary.
East, south & by the river
Glasgow International Arena is in the East End, with Barrowland Ballroom and Saint Luke’s closer to the city centre. Tramway is south of the river, and the Tall Ship Glenlee joins the festival’s venues in 2027. Allow travel time if you’re seeing more than one show.
