How to get here?
The closest airport is Edinburgh Airport, just 7.2 miles away from Apex Grassmarket Hotel. The recommended route from Edinburgh Airport is by taxi which takes 25 minutes and costs £25 - £30 to get to the hotel.
There are alternative transport options to the hotel including the tram or Airlink 100 bus, getting off at Shandwick place with a 15-20 minute walk to the hotel.
If you’re arriving by car, follow the M8 Eastbound until you get to Edinburgh Hermiston Gait. Then take the A71 toward the city centre and follow the road through the city. After about 20 minutes you’ll get to West Port then Grassmarket where the hotel is on the right.
The hotel has a car park available for guests and visitors to the hotel on a first come first served basis which cannot be reserved. Full information on the charges is available on our FAQ page. There is alternate multi storey parking at NCP on King Stables Road.

If you’re arriving by train into Waverley train station, the hotel is just a 10 minute walk away. Exit onto Market Street then turn right and then left at the roundabout onto Cockburn Street. You'll meet High Street. Then take a right where you’ll see Edinburgh Castle up ahead and then take a left onto George IV Bridge, and on the right hand side of the street you'll see a road going down a hill called Victoria Street. Follow the road down Victoria Street where you’ll meet the Grassmarket.
Alternatively, taxis are available from the taxi rank outside Waverley station
